A great second quarter of the year

2023 is definitely set to be a bumper year for us at From Me to You. After an amazing start to the year, we had some huge wins in quarter 2, including the much-anticipated launch of our book 'From Me, To You' - and some incredible media coverage as a result.

Here's some of our best bits from the last three months...

Because of the increase in demand for our service, the next few months will be just as busy - generating the support we need to meet extra letter requests.

If you would like to write for our Donate A Letter programme, we’d love to hear from you. Alternatively, if you have the letter writing pack but are yet to take the plunge, take a look at some of our letter writing tips, or sign up to our beginners workshop on August 15th. It’s free and is a great introduction to getting started.

Our co-founder and first letter writer for FMTY, Alison, says; “Don’t be scared, we were all beginners once. After your first letter is written and sent, you will feel fantastic - and will no doubt get the writing bug. The best bit is knowing the impact that your letters will have on the recipient - changing their day for the better.”

Our Donate A Book campaign will continue. We’re still looking for individuals affected by cancer who would like to receive a free copy to come forward and for people with contacts at hospitals and cancer centres to get in touch so that we can get our books into the hands of those who could benefit from reading it.

And, we’re very excited to launch our new summer fund-raiser, Donate An Ice-cream, where you can donate £3 in lieu of an ice-cream this summer - which will enable us to send four letters to people facing cancer. Please spread the word!
