Our Community Ambassadors
We are delighted to introduce you to our wonderful Community Ambassadors - who are helping us to expand the reach of our charity, in their communities and nationally.
Meet our Community Ambassadors:
Caroline Stafford from The Kitsch Hen online bakery got involved in our work a few years ago as she loved the ethos of our charity and shares our joy in connecting with people. She’s already an active member of our FMTY community, raising £2,500 for us by taking to a unicycle last summer for the ultimate fundraising challenge. It even made front page news in her local paper! Never one to shy away from sending her incredible biscuits, Caroline is very generous when it comes to offering us tasty supplies or yummy prizes.
Emma Morton found us through a friend and was instantly keen to get involved in our work. She’s a serial networker, who seems to have a connection to anyone and everyone in the Peterborough area, where we have a community hub. Emma has been amazing at getting our posters and bookmarks out into the area - spreading much-needed awareness of our charity. And there’s no stopping her, with Emma admitting that her handbag is permanently full of our materials (you just never know when you might stumble across a noticeboard!).
Marina Brook found us after following our Instagram page. She runs her own stationery company, Marina B, and saw there was a perfect connection between us and her business, so reached out to offer support. Marina has been incredibly generous since the start - providing us with beautiful greetings cards for workshops and donating cards for our Friends of From Me to You scheme. She’s also given some amazing prizes for an upcoming letter writing competition, which we’ll tell you more about soon. You’ll definitely want to enter when you see the winner’s hamper!
We stumbled across Rebecca and Karl Maguire and their gorgeous stationery company, Wildflower Illustrations Co, after being tipped off by fellow Community Ambassador, Caroline from the Kitsch Hen, who saw their brand on Instagram - and could see the alignment of our values with theirs. We were delighted when we got in touch to hear that they were as excited about working with us as we were with them. Their love of handwritten letters, beautiful stationery and connecting people through letters was music to our ears. Rebecca and Karl support us by sharing our work on social media, include our bookmarks in some of their stationery boxes, plan to host a workshop for us in their shop and generously donate prizes for us. They are also designing an exciting fundraising pack for us, which we can’t wait to share with you soon.
Our Community Ambassadors are just that; they are Ambassador’s for our cause in their local community, helping us to spread the word about our work through their networks. It’s a voluntary role and we’re incredibly grateful for the time and effort given - not to mention the goodies donated too.
As a charity with limited resources, there’s only so much we can do to market our offering. But, with the help of others, we are able to reach people who need our letters, recruit writers to help with our work and generate funds to ensure we’re able to exist.
